concepts used in the design of construction projects for both new and existing
buildings. Performs engineering evaluations of alternative (equivalent) methods
and concepts for meeting code issues in projects. Prepares reports documenting
building code requirements and fire protection concepts for presentation to
building officials and for use by the Project Design Team. Performs plan reviews
of construction documents. Witnesses final testing of building fire protection
systems. Quality control, client retention, and contract management are also
foundational objectives.
